Sara Osborne

Sara Osborne ran away from home at sixteen. She didn't have a plan, any money, or much of a clue how she would survive. She just drove her converted camper van from town to town, working whatever odd jobs she could find to afford gas and food.

She had a few resources, a battered old laptop that she used to keep in occasional contact with her brother Nick, her years of martial arts training to help her survive (later supplemented with a pair of firearms), and the companionship of a small cat she adopted early on named Arthur.

For almost seven years, her life as a 'Highway Ronin' mostly worked. But then she received an email from Nick. Their father had died, and Nick was alone.

Sara dropped everything to return to her home and keep Nick from disappearing into the foster system. That when things got weird.

Stalked by a team of Angels, Sara became embroiled in the slumbering war between the Shards of the Dragon and Gabriel, the Lord of the Angels. Gabriel's minions call her 'Peacebreaker', and before long Sara's addition to the Shards reignites the conflict.

Sara bears within her soul the Claw Shard, a piece of the Immortal Dragon. It allows her to manifest mystical armor on her lower arms and legs, as well as a circlet at her brow. This armor is also her primary weapon, as the fingertips end wickedly sharp claws - which she can change into other bladed weapons at will. Like all the Shards, she also has increased strength, speed and stamina, as well as access to the memories housed within the Shard, which extend back through all it's previous hosts.

A self-described geek, Sara often quotes lines from movies, tv shows, anime, and books. She summons her armor with the phrase “henshin yo,” which means “transform!” in Japanese.
